The importance of patience
Labour can be slow.
Labour can be quick.
Labour can be somewhere in the middle.
There’s no telling which road yours will take you.
Sometimes your journey is like a car on the motorway…getting to its destination by the quickest route possible.
Sometimes it’s a slow trip around the country lanes, twisting and turning.
Either way you reach the end of your journey with your baby in your arms.
Slow labour isn’t an emergency, it’s not often something to be concerned about. It’s usually with very good reason it’s taking it’s time to open your body up to allow your baby to be born (our bodies are very clever) You can experiment with movement and relaxation to help your baby and body along if you feel you need it.
But just like on a long road trip, take snacks, drinks, music and whatever you need to make the ride as comfortable as possible (with plenty of loo breaks 🤣)
Don’t allow the system to tell you you are failing…..trust your baby and your body as long as you and baby are ok then enjoy the ride ❤❤❤
